Information technology plays pivotal role in all phases of human activities. It has a great impact on libraries and information centers. In this study an attempt has been made to investigate the awareness and usage of electronic information resources in the research institutes of Mohali, Punjab. The main aim of the study is to identify the level of satisfaction among users regarding information resources. The finding of the study reveals that all most all the users are aware regarding e resources. It is observed from the study that all the users  use  E journals, Email and Websites to  full extent, except e journal by non scientific staff that is 71.67. Majority of users face common problem i.e. slow access speed. So   there is a need to provide high bandwidth to overcome poor network connectivity
